Talaris and KCTS Seattle/Television co-developed "Parenting Counts: A Focus on Early Learning." This multimedia program uses a series of television spots, printed material and workshops to make the research on best parenting practices part of every day parenting decisions.

Through outreach efforts in more than 40 communities around the country, Parenting Counts and PBS stations promote greater awareness of the importance of the first years of life and the importance of the parent/child relationship.

Logo for Right from BirthRight from Birth is a series about parenting and early literacy based on  the work of nationally recognized child development experts Drs. Craig and  Sharon Ramey. Twelve half-hour episodes lead parents and caregivers through the  stages of early childhood from birth to 18 months. A fully developed curriculum  is available for use by providers working with Arkansas parents.

It too is based on the work of the Drs. Ramey and features Dr. Kyle  Pruett. This series will address stages of childhood from age 3 to 8 years and  give practical advice on how adults can prepare children for success in school.  An accompanying curriculum is being designed to extend the educational value of  the series.

Workshop Opportunities
AETN offers workshop opportunities for early  childcare providers for both Right from  Birth and Going to School. The  curriculum has been approved for continuing education credits in Arkansas. For more  information about these workshops, contact us at education@aetn.org.
