Welcome to Arkansas IDEAS Virtual Tours

How many times did you sit in class daydreaming about traveling to different eras and meeting amazing people, while your teacher reviewed tomorrow's quiz?  While books and teachers can spark your imagination, actually seeing an historic building or site can make all those facts and dates come to life.

Virtual tours make visits to places possible for children who cannot  travel around Arkansas and whets the appetite for those who can. Moving images enrich the lessons taught inside a classroom. Explore Arkansas' magical places through interactive media.

The first tour in the series "Touring a Time" will be Little Rock Central High School 1957 Crisis.  An important test for school desegregation and hallowed ground in the civil rights movement, Little Rock Central High National Historic Site continues as a functioning campus while telling the story of nine courageous students determined to obtain equality.

Java is required for the viewing of the 360 virtual tours.
