PBS TeacherLine

PBS TeacherLine is the premier resource offering professional development courses online to individual PreK-12 teachers and districts. Our specially trained, certified facilitators lead over 90 top-quality, standards-based courses that span the entire curriculum: Mathematics, Reading/Language Arts, Science, Instructional Technology, and Instructional Strategies. Coursework can cover a complete sequence of study or address a specific requirement, depending on a teacher's or district's needs.

The Arkansas Department of Education has approved all of the PBS TeacherLine courses for Professional Development. There are a limited number of ADE prioritized course seats available at no charge for teachers who are teaching in selected School Improvement locations. Once the teachers in the selected schools are provided the opportunity to enroll, any remaining seats will be available to all teachers until filled.

ACCESS TO THE SYSTEM

To enter Arkansas IDEAS for the first time, you will need your new 10-digit State Teacher Identification Number, not your federally issued Social Security number. You can get this from your local district's APSCN / Pentamation Administrator, principal, superintendent, or your district's technology coordinator.

If you are not currently teaching in an Arkansas public school district, you can get your number directly from AETN. Please send an email to arideastech@aetn.org with your request.

After you enter the system for the first time, you will be asked some basic questions. The system will also ask you for a user name and password. These can be anything you like, as long as you remember them. Please keep your user name and password in a safe, but convenient location. For subsequent logins you will only need to remember your user name and password.

Please keep in mind that the first time you login through the Arkansas IDEAS Learn Now! system and select a TeacherLine Course, you should see a PBS TeacherLine web page offering a free, two-hour orientation course to prepare for online learning. Select the course, and take the TECH 101 Free Orientation Course Practice Learning Online with TeacherLine.
