When President Jefferson commissioned Lewis and Clark's exploration of the Louisiana Purchase from 1804 to 1806, he also commissioned a second expedition to explore the southern areas of that new frontier. This is the story of William Dunbar and George Hunter's "The Forgotten Expedition."
