Hurry and sign-up for one of the best technology training programs in the state, the Arkansas Technology Institute (ATI). If your technology skills are high or low, you still will find this training beneficial, fun, exciting and worth your while.

You will receive 30 hours of professional development and, if you so choose, you can receive 3 hours of graduate credit from the University of Central Arkansas! You will be reimbursed for your travel, food and hotel by a grant from IMPAC Learning Systems Endowment.

    Class Size

  • Due to limited class size in each institute session, AETN will only accept a maximum of three participants from the same school district.
  • A special request to waive this limitation should be made to AETN prior to registration.
  • Each class will consist of 18 participants, which will be broken down into three teams.

    Location

All ATI sessions are held at the Arkansas Educational Television Network studios located in Conway, Arkansas off of the University of Central Arkansas campus. You can get directions to AETN in Conway by using many popular map search engines suchas Google Maps and MapQuest. AETN's physical address is:
      350 S Donaghey Ave.
      Conway, AR, 72033

    Leadership and Team Building

  • The team method of problem solving used by ATI participants in project planning and development is based on the leadership principles taught in the Arkansas Leadership Academy (ALA). For that reason, it is recommended that the superintendent or principal have attended ALA and be familiar with those concepts.
  • ATI is designed to train participants to take what they learn and use it in their districts and schools to train others. Understanding the leadership concepts allows superintendents and principals to provide necessary support and encouragement to their ATI participants.

    Graduate Credit

Graduate credit hours for this institute are available through UCA. The course number is: LIBM 6391 Directed Independent Study. For graduate credit hours, please contact the Credit Administrative Assistant of Academic Outreach at (501) 450-5274 or via email at credit@uca.edu for registration.

    Contact

  • ATI sessions are conducted during the summer. Communications relating to the sessions are e-mailed. It is essential that participants have e-mail available to them during the summer, weekends and after school hours. You must include a personal e-mail address in your registration.

For more information, contact Debbie Petross at 501-852-2627 or via email.
